Stronger together - Raising funds for people with Multiple Sclerosis
Hi! We are Tania and Zsolti—a young couple with roots in Hungary, Nicaragua, and Austria, now living in Vienna.
A few years ago, our world shifted when Tania was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. It was a moment that changed our lives as a couple—but it didn’t break us.
Instead of slowing down, Tania found her voice and became a powerful advocate for people living with MS. Today, she proudly represents young people with MS at the EMSP, turning her journey into strength and hope for others.
Zsolti has been there every step of the way—celebrating every spotlight moment with Tania and holding her hand through every challenge that comes with MS.
Yes, MS is challenging. But together, we’ve learned to adapt, to grow, and to live fully—hand in hand, with MS as part of our story.
That’s why we’re running. Each of us will take on 5K in Vienna, joining the MS Awareness Run—not just for ourselves, but for everyone touched by MS.
We run to raise awareness. We run to support the EMSP. And we run to remind the world: life with MS can still be powerful, meaningful, and full of courage.
Join us, support us, and let’s make every step count. ❤️
My Updates

We did it! 🧡
Monday 6th Oct
Now, we’re passing the baton to Berlin, where our family will take on 10K as part of our MS Running Team.
💡 Why we are doing this:
-To raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis.
-To support the European MS Platform (EMSP) in their efforts around research, data collection, and community building for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
-To represent young people who, in the prime of their lives, face many challenges and stigmas after being diagnosed with MS at a young age.
A huge thank you to my family and friends for cheering us on throughout the run. And best of luck to all the upcoming runners in Berlin and Brussels!

Two weeks to go!
Sunday 21st Sep
We’re getting so close — the countdown has officially begun for our run in Vienna! We’ve registered for the Animal Welfare Run to complete our 5K, and we couldn’t be more excited.
In this update, I’d also like to share one of my favourite EMSP projects from the past year: the IMSS (Impact of MS Symptoms Survey). This Europe-wide survey was conducted by EMSP together with national MS societies to better understand the real-life impact of MS symptoms on people living with the condition.
Anyone diagnosed with MS in a participating country could take part after giving their consent (with caregiver/parental consent required for participants under 18). In total, 17,151 people with MS took part, with responses gathered through 24 MS societies across 22 European countries: Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, and Switzerland.
Findings
The IMSS survey provides a unique snapshot of the real-life experiences of people with MS across Europe. On average, respondents reported 14 different symptoms, with fatigue, cognitive impairment, and mobility issues among the most common and debilitating.
Yet despite this high symptom burden, many people with MS still face limited access to personalised and coordinated care — particularly when it comes to invisible symptoms.
These results offer robust, cross-country evidence to support national advocacy, strengthen service delivery, and influence policy — ultimately helping to improve MS care across Europe.
Surveys like this have a huge impact on MS research and advancements, as well as better treatment and health care methods for people living with Multiple Sclerosis. Supporting our run will help fund more projects like this!

This is for young people living with Multiple Sclerosis
Sunday 14th Sep
The past four weeks have been both motivating and incredibly successful — especially for someone who doesn’t usually run. Thanks to the amazing support of our family and friends, we’ve already raised half of our goal, and I feel extremely grateful.
Living with Multiple Sclerosis over the past five years has certainly been a roller-coaster ride. During my recent runs, I’ve reflected on how far I’ve come since my diagnosis — from burnout to dealing with a life-changing diagnosis, to now representing young people with MS at the EMSP. Zsolti keeps reminding me of how strong I’ve been through it all, and I’m learning to recognise that myself.
My friends and family know how important this journey is to me, which is why I’m so thankful to be able to run 5K in support of the EMSP. Thank you all for your support!
I am using this opportunity to also give a big shout-out to the EMSP’s Young People’s Network — a group of young advocates living with MS across Europe. Together, we connect, exchange experiences, and dedicate our free time to raising awareness about Multiple Sclerosis. What began 15 years ago has grown into a strong, supportive network for young people — and I’m deeply grateful to be part of it.

Thank you all,
X,

Exciting first week AND our running team is growing!!
Wednesday 3rd Sep
What an exciting first week! Not only did we reach our personal goal of running three times, but we were also surprised with generous donations from our amazing support team.
And the best part — our running team is growing! We’re thrilled to share that my family is joining the MS Awareness Run all the way from Berlin.
It’s such an exciting time to be raising awareness for people living with Multiple Sclerosis. Thank you all so much for your support!
With gratitude,
Tania & Zsolti

🌍 Running for MS Awareness – from Vienna! 🌍
Wednesday 27th Aug
Many of you asked why we’re not heading to Brussels for the MS Awareness Run this year. The great news is: you don’t have to be in Brussels to take part anymore!
This year, EMSP made the run global – which means anyone can join from wherever they are. So instead of Brussels, my partner and I will proudly take on our 5K in Vienna this October. Here’s how it works if you’d like to support or even join from afar:
1. Set your personal running/walking goal (alone or with friends).
2. Create your EMSP fundraising page.
3. Run your personal distance and raise funds.
Donations can be made directly through this page.
We’ve already set our fundraising goal, and every euro raised goes directly to EMSP – European Multiple Sclerosis Platform to support their advocacy and work for the MS community.
Thank you to all those who support our personal goal!
Together, no matter where we are, we can make a difference.
X,
Tani & Zsolti
